Tara's Telling Tales: Scrubs

Frist trip to the Scrubs. The "Scrubs," as it is know in Macclenny, is Salt Springs located between Ocala and Palakta. We grew up going to the scrubs. Papa John grew up going to the Scrubs!

My parents (Gran & Papa John), Steve, Grapeseed, 3 of my nephews, and myself headed to the Scrubs Thursday for a long weekend. My brother and family came down Friday. My sister and the rest of her family came down Saturday. Also, my Aunt, cousins, cousin's children were there. A great family time!

Here is GS checking out our digs for the weekend and her first stroll around the campground. (Yes she is tied to the chair, a makeshift high chair ; )

My Mama's birthday was in May, but with all that was going on with all the new additions being born she said that she was going to wait until August to celebrate. Friday my brother, Brooke, and J IV came down to the lake. My brother baked my Mama a birthday cake, from stratch, not using a cake mix or a tub of icing!! A few months ago when we were visiting my parents he make a homemade chocolate cake that was delicious! We'll call him Duff ; )(Ace of Cakes). I also couldn't believe how big J IV is getting. He is almost as tall as GS!

I have been telling my Daddy that GS needs a horse to keep at his house. Well, he found her one at a yard sale and said when she could master it, then she could have a bigger one.

Ha! Ha! Papa! Funny thing is, when we first put her on the horse, she started bouncing up and down just like she knew it was suppose to be moving. Smart girl, smart cowgirl ; )

Saturday was my nephew J's 8th birthday. Also, my Aunt Cindy and her family, my sister and the rest of her family came down the lake and ALL had lunch and birthday cake at my Aunt Christine's (and her family) campesite. My little Lilly Rose looks just like my sister! She is so beautiful!
