16 Months Old

16 Months Old! Today was cold and rainy as we (Gran, GS, and myself) headed to Ikea (with half of Orlando, crowded!). Grapeseed enjoyed the Mac-n-cheese and all the toys in the kids department. When we would walk pass the beds on display she would lay her head on them like she was going to take a nap, too cute!



Here are the words that GS can say at 16 months old: Mama, Daddy, Papa, Tara, Steve, eye, juice, shoes, thank you, cheese, bye, baby, ball, teeth, belly button, uh-oh (her favorite word) and shhhh (with finger over mouth). Said Grandpa once and T-t-t (makes the T sound for Tia). Not to mention the "Gran Signal" (she pats her chest for Gran). She can also sign ball while she says the word.

The week she turned 15 months old she took an interest in the potty. I sat her on it one night just to see what she would do, when I told her to go pee-pee, she did! She did this for 3 nights in a row, then for a few days didn't want to sit on the potty any more. By the time she was 15 months and 1 week she went back to sitting on the potty and pee-peeing or at least trying (straining) every night before bath. Here's hoping she potty trains early!
